Ryan Roche

Although she has been designing under her own name since 2006, Ryan Roche is a newcomer whose achievements have not gone unnoticed. Winner of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund runner-up prize, a semi-finalist for the prestigious LVMH prize, and a nominee for the upcoming CFDA Swarovski womenswear award, she has proven herself and her talent.

In this evening dialogue with Jeremy Lewis, Editor-in-Chief and Founder of Garmento Zine, Roche gives an insight into her fascination with creating knitwear, seen most prominently in her signature shade of pink. Working with minimal and modern shapes in fine cashmere, hand-knit by a women's collective in Nepal, Roche's approach to clean design, and what well crafted construction can add to it, reverberates through every stitch of her sweaters and capes.
